Our Approach
At Swanson Performance and Rehabilitation, physical therapy and strength training go hand in hand. Our practice combines clinical expertise with individualized strength and conditioning to help people overcome injury, move better, and perform at their best.
We believe rehabilitation should go beyond simply relieving pain or returning to baseline. By bridging the gap between rehabilitation and performance training, our approach emphasizes not only recovery, but also building a stronger, more resilient body capable of meeting the demands of everyday life, work, and sport.
Every session is one-on-one, allowing for focused attention, thoughtful programming, and a level of care that is often lost in traditional clinical settings. Whether you're recovering from an injury, navigating persistent pain, or looking to take your strength and performance to the next level, our approach is built around your individual needs and goals.
No crowded treatment rooms. No one-size-fits-all programs. Just dedicated, individualized care with an emphasis on lasting results.
Meet the Founder
Ryan Swanson, PT, DPT, CSCS
Ryan’s path into rehabilitation and performance began with a passion for strength training and a desire to better understand how the body works. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado in 2014 before becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
After several years working in personal training and strength and conditioning, Ryan sought to expand his knowledge and expertise by pursuing his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Indiana University, graduating in 2020.
In 2022, he founded Swanson Performance and Rehabilitation with a vision of bringing these two disciplines together. His goal was to create a practice where rehabilitation and strength training are not treated as separate pursuits, but as complementary components of long-term physical health and performance.
Drawing on his experience as both a physical therapist and strength coach, Ryan takes a practical, individualized approach to care. His focus extends beyond symptom relief to helping individuals develop the strength, confidence, and physical capacity to remain active and perform at their best for years to come.
